The Venue

University of Frankfurt, Bockenheim

The Drupal camp Frankfurt takes place at the University of Frankfurt, at the Bockenheim campus. The facility will give us plenty of room for sessions, BoFs, sprinting and socializing. Bockenheim is one of Frankfurt’s student quarters, so you’ll find many pubs, bars and restaurants in the area. So, if you feel like getting a beer or some nice food, it’ll be just around the corner.

How to get there

The venue is Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Senckenberganlage 31‎, 60325 Frankfurt am Main, but the main entrance is located on the Gräfstraße, across from Frankfurt and Friends at the corner of Mertonstraße, see map below. The Hotel West is a block down Gräfstraße from the location. The Bockenheim campus is not far from downtown Frankfurt and is easy to reach.

In general, parking in Frankfurt is close to impossible and expensive. So the best way to get around is using the public transportation system. If you want to visit by car, there are some parking spaces around the university:

• Ladengalerie Bockenheimer Warte, Adalbertstraße 10 – €16/day, open Mo-Sa 07:00 - 23:00 and So 09:00 - 20:00, about 300m from the venue.
• Bahnhof West, Hamburger Allee – max €35/day, open day & night, about 1km from the venue.

The “Bockenheimer Warte” U-Bahn station is just next to the university and can be reached via the U4 (if coming from the central station), as well as the U6 and U7 (from downtown Frankfurt). When you arrive, be sure to check out the outside of the station, it’s really worth a look. From the central station it’s just a 15-minute ride to the airport and probably the fastest way to get there. Find your way to the campus with the public transport here:
