Subtitle: Chances and threats for Drupal with GDPR.
The new European privacy legislation, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will be uphold in 2018.
The proposed new EU data protection regime extends the scope of the EU data protection law to all foreign companies processing data of EU residents. It provides for a harmonization of the data protection regulations throughout the EU.
We have less than one year to be compliant with this legislation.
This session will focus on:
What are the implications of this law?
What are the necessities for compliance?
What are the opportunities with Drupal in this market?
Penalties for not complying can rise to 20 million euro or 4% of the annual turnover.
It is of utmost importance to understand this matter, take opportunities and change this "administrative bug" into a virtue.
